Question by tulip: english teaching tools for my 2 and half year old ?
me and my husband are from a different country, still we are very well versed in english and can speak it without any foreign accents, mti(mother toungue influence) etc.but we almost exclusively talk in our native oungue while we are home. earlier on when he was a baby we refrained from teaching him english cos we wanted to learn his native toungue first. he speaks exceptionally well in his native toungue now. but when we try to talk to him in english, he ignores us completely. but he loves watching shows like word world, sesame steet, super why etc, but i think may be they are for more grown up children cos even though he enjoys them i donno if he really understands them. i wanna know if there is any english learning tools for toddlers out there.
he stays home with me for now and we are planning on sending him to preschool next year. i am worried if he does not understand english he is gonna feel left out and wont get on well with other kids.
any advice is welcome.
